Dimitris Chrysanthakopoulos, Founder
Dimitris discovered mountain biking and his passion for the outdoors later in life at the age of 33 when he moved to Elgin in the North of Scotland.
“I was new to the area and keen to make friends. Knowing that sports can be a great way to connect with people, a colleague of mine who was an avid mountain biker suggested that I try getting a bike through the cycle-to-work scheme. And that was all it took! I quickly caught the mountain biking bug and reorganized my life around this thrilling activity.”
Through Boundless Trails, Dimitris aims to share his passion for mountain biking and travelling with others, while also promoting responsible and sustainable tourism. He believes that mountain biking is a great way to connect with the natural environment and local communities, and hopes to provide unforgettable experiences for riders of all levels.Dimitris discovered mountain biking and his passion for the outdoors later in life at the age of 33 when he moved to Elgin in the North of Scotland.
Dimitris believes that travelling and mountain biking have many similarities in terms of the outcomes they offer.
“When you travel to a new country, you are exposed to new ideas and cultures, just like when you ride new trails on your mountain bike, you are exposed to new terrains and features. Both travelling and mountain biking challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and push yourself to grow as a person. In this way, both activities can be transformative and offer opportunities for personal development and growth.”
Dimitris started Boundless Trails as a means to encourage people to discover their passion through travelling and mountain biking.
